Rites held for Cates

Hadley Dale Cates 20, of Elmwood, OK, died Dec. 24, 2020 in Lubbock. Graveside services were held Monday, Dec. 28 at Capitol View Cemetery in Elmwood with Blake Terrell officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Booker. He was born March 27, 2000.

Martinez rites held

Jose Martinez, 52, of Perryton, died Dec. 23, 2020. Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Key Heights Baptist Church with Terry Williams officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. He was born Jan. 10, 1968.

Ernest C. Malone

Ernest C. Malone, 80, of Perryton, passed away Dec. 23, 2020. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Victory Family Church with Marlon Sparks officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Ruth Neufeld Cooper Davis McGuire

Ruth Neufeld Cooper Davis McGuire passed peacefully from this life to be with our LORD on Dec. 22, 2020. She was born to Jacob Henry Neufeld and Elizabeth Mehl Neufeld in Perryton on March 22, 1925. Jacob and Elizabeth, were of the Mennonite Brethren faith and homesteaded in Oklahoma in 1904.

Larry Gene Munday, 66, of Perryton, died Dec. 14, 2020 at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. at Community Christian Church with Craig VanDeburgh officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

Dorothy Stroud Yara, 72, of Amarillo, formerly of Perryton, died Dec. 17, 2020 in Amarillo. Private family services will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery in Balko, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel in Amarillo. She was born Oct. 15, 1948 in Perryton.

Nancy Cook

Nancy Jean Mayes Boren Cook, 90, passed away Dec. 19, 2020. Nancy was born May 15, 1930, in Ft. Stockton, to Warden William Mayes and Irene Louise Sonntag Mayes Hodges. She attended high school in Ft. Stockton, and participated in many activities, including several sports and band drum major.

Caroline Marie Reimer

Caroline Marie Reimer, 91, of Perryton, passed away peacefully on Dec. 14, 2020 at Twin Oaks Manor in Booker Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Crossroads Bible Fellowship Church with Rev. James Epp officiating. Burial followed in the Balko Mennonite Cemetery.

Private rites set for Hardy

Byrl Hardy, 91, of Perryton, died Dec. 16, 2020. A private family graveside service will be held Monday, Dec. 21, at Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. The funeral home will be open for viewing/visitation on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 9 a.m.

Schoenhals rites set

Virginia Elizabeth Schoenhals, 81, of Perryton died Dec. 12, 2020. Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 18, at St. John Congregational Church, 15909 County Road I in Follett, with Rev. Dwain Read officiating. The family requests face masks be worn due to COVID-19.
