Marcos Manuel Vigil

Marcos Manuel Vigil, 76 of Perryton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canadian, with Msgr. Michael Colwell officiating.

Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Marcos was born Oct. 7, 1944 in Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua Mexico to Rosalio and Dulces (Lerma) Vigil. He married Maria Evangelina Lujan on Feb. 14, 1972 in Mexico.

Marcos was a farmerrancher in Farnsworth, loved animals and had extremely strong work ethics. Sundays were family days devoted to family, mass, eating out and movies.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Luis Rey Vigil; and sister, Rosalia Vigil.

He is survived by his wife, Maria of the home; son, Luis Rey Vigil and wife Linda of Canadian; daughters, Rita Irene Vigil of Perryton, Zully Herrera and husband Arturo of Booker, Jackie Glassey and husband Shane of Bulverde, Laura Hernandez and husband Rene of Perryton, Eva Munoz and husband Jose of Evans, CO; brothers, Carlos Vigil and Vicente Vigil; sisters, Enedina Cardenas, Dulces Soellner, Rosa Atkinson, Lucinda Rubio and Idalia Butler; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
