Alfredo P. Godino, 83, of Booker died Jan. 12, 2021.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 15, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Booker with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial followed at Heart Cemetery in Booker. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Booker.

He was born July 14, 1937 in Gonzales, and married Antonia Jimenez on Sept. 21, 1957 in Fort Morgan, CO.

He played in the first semi-pro Mexican baseball league, and started a trucking company with his two brothers, Ed and Rudy Godino. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Aurora (Perez) Godino; two children, Guadalupe and Abel; one grandson, Nolan Meyer; two brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Antonia; two sons, John Godino of Booker and Alfred Godino of Canadian; two daughters, Teresa Meyer and Angela Godino, both of Booker; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
