Gun, wallet reported stolen; more license plates missing

A stolen gun and a flurry of missing license plates topped activity for the week. Marco Moreno reported a gun stolen from his pickup while it was parked at the Brentwood Apartments, 1613 S. Jefferson. Also taken was a wallet containing cash. The glove compartment was also ransacked.

School buses designed differently

Large school buses are not equipped with seat belts, but that doesn’t compromise their ability to transport students safely to and from school. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that school buses are designed differently than passenger cars and light trucks.
