The Perryton High School Class of 1971 celebrated its 50 - year reunion in Fort Worth Sept. 17-18. Hosts Ross and Cindy (Byerley) Snell opened their spacious home on Friday night for a meal of made-toorder burgers followed by a gigantic Class of ’71 cookie.

Youth basketball registration begins Registration has begun for Perryton Activity Center Youth Basketball leagues. Divisions are: Pre-K/K, first and second grades, third and fourth grades, and fifth and sixth grades; Pre-K/K will be co-ed, and all others will have separate boys and girls leagues.

Ochiltree County’s COVID-19 cases are continuing their slow rise. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 have risen to 46, up from 40 on Tuesday afternoon.

Ken King cancels Monday’s town hall meetings

District 88 State Representative Ken King has postponed Monday afternoon’s planned town hall meeting in Perryton, citing a need to return to Austin to deal with the border crisis. “As we are all aware, the Biden administration has created a crisis on the border,” King’s press release stated.

Seliger to hold town hall Zoom meeting Tuesday
