Many businesses and government offices around Perryton and Ochiltree County are set to take some hard-earned time off during the Thanksgiving holiday this week.
The Perryton Independent School District and Frank Phillips College Allen Campus will be closed for business all this week.
The Ochiltree County Courthouse, Ochiltree County Expo Center, the Ochiltree County Appraisal District, Perryton Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce, and Game On Graphics will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
The Perryton Herald will close at noon on Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday. The Herald will publish only one combined edition of the paper this week.
The Museum of the Plains will close at noon on Wednesday and remain closed for Thanksgiving Day.
The Lobo Restaurant at Wolf Creek Park is closed all this week and will reopen on December 1.
Perry Memorial Library and the Texas Department of Public Safety will close at noon on Wednesday and remain closed for the rest of the week.
The Senior Citizens Center will be closed Wednesday through Friday this week. The Center will also be closed on Monday for a funeral.
Perryton Office Supply will be closed Thursday through Saturday this week.
All local banks – including Perryton National Bank, Interstate Bank, FirstBank Southwest, and First National Bank – will be closed on Thursday. First National Bank will close at noon on Wednesday.
Wall’s Bargain Center will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, remain closed for Thanksgiving, and open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.
The Post Office, Perryton City Hall, the Natural Resource Conservation Service, the Farm Service Agency, Charlotte & Company, Gebo’s, and Bartlett’s Hardware will be closed on Thanksgiving Day only.
United Supermarket and Lowe’s Marketplace will be closed on Thursday but will open for regular hours on Friday.
Burkes Outlet will be closed on Thursday. They will open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and will have extended hours after Friday for the rest of the holiday season.
Chihua’s will be closed Thursday but open regular hours on Friday. The Smoke House will be open normal hours on Thursday, with Thanksgiving dinner served for donations. Margarita’s will serve Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday to serve Thanksgiving dinner for donations.
The Perryton Activity Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Allsups and Pak-a-Sak will be open regular hours on Thursday and Friday. Imo’s will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
The Perryton Golf Course will be open regular hours on Thanksgiving Day and Friday.
