The deadline to enroll in the Pathways scholarship program is approaching quickly, and students at Perryton High School are working to get their applications in before Thursday, Sept. 30. Pathways is open to PHS freshmen and eligible sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Perryton schools got a half-day off Friday afternoon for a teacher work day, and the milder autumn temperatures meant lots of kids headed outside to enjoy some outdoor fun. Among them was Jordan Ortega, age 8, who worked on honing his soccer skills at Stark Park.

Bushland takes game 31-6

Despite a few big plays, the Rangers couldn’t get much going on offense, and struggled at times on defense, to give the Bushland Falcons a 31-6 Friday night at Falcon Stadium. Perryton had the ball first to open the game.

Two men arrested after businesses burglarized

Two men have been arrested in connection with a couple of business burglaries last weekend. James Brandon Lewis, 43, and Shawn Damon Aylor, 47, were each charged with multiple felony offenses in connection with the case.

Youth basketball registration begins Registration has begun for Perryton Activity Center Youth Basketball leagues. Divisions are: Pre-K/K, first and second grades, third and fourth grades, and fifth and sixth grades; Pre-K/K will be co-ed, and all others will have separate boys and girls leagues.
