PHS COUNSELOR’S HONOR ROLL

Perryton High School has listed the students making the counselor’s honor roll for the first six weeks of school.

Burglary reported

A burglary and a shoplifter were investigated by police during the week. Majestic Vape, 12 SE Eighth, reported a burglary at the business. Around $400 worth of vaping items were stolen. Family Dollar reported around $225 worth items of merchandise had been stolen. There is a suspect in the case.

American Legion to hold monthly meeting The American Legion Post 254 will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 1, at the Senior Citizen Center. A meal will be served at 6 p.m., and the meeting itself will begin at 7 p.m. All veterans are welcome to attend.

NEW OFFICIALS SWORN IN

Ochiltree County swore in new officials last week at the County Courthouse. Hospital board approve insurance, other expenses

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors approved several projects at their regular monthly meeting on Monday evening at the Ochiltree General Hospital conference center.

Accident claims life

An accident early Tuesday morning claimed the life of one man. According to Police Chief Mike Smith, around 7 a.m., law enforcement and medical personnel responded to a major traffic accident west of Perryton on Highway 15 and Loop 143.

Allen Campus students awarded scholarships

The Frank Phillips College Annual Scholarship Banquet was held at the Borger Campus on Sept. 28. During the event, Allen Campus students received scholarship award recognition. In front of a large crowd, students were called to the stage and presented with certificates.
