Two die in car accident Saturday

Two men died in a twovehicle accident east of Perryton on Saturday night. According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at about 10:45 p.m. approximately seven miles east of town on State Highway 15.

City council denies SPS rate increase request

The Perryton City Council, at its meeting Tuesday evening, denied a rate increase request by Southwestern Public Service (the parent company of Xcel Energy) and approved a list of city projects that could be done through its recently awarded coronavirus relief grant.
