Tips still needed on vandalized vehicles

Perryton-Ochiltree County Crime Stoppers still needs information this week to solve a case of vehicle vandalism. Sometime on Sunday night, Jan. 23, three vehicles parked in the 1900 block of South Eton were vandalized.

Perryton AA group to mark 75 years Feb. 19

The Perryton group of Alcoholics Anonymous will be celebrating their 75th anniversary this Saturday, Feb. 19 from 7-9 p.m. Their meeting location is at Seventh and Birch. The meeting is open to anyone who is interested in recovery.

At this year’s Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet on Thursday, Citizens of the Year were named for 2021 and 2022. The 2021 Citizens of the Year were first responders.

Candidate forum set Monday

A candidate forum featuring the candidates for Ochiltree County Clerk will be held this Monday, Feb. 21, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Frank Phillips College Allen Campus. The event is sponsored by the legislative affairs committee of the Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce.

Two students at Wright Elementary l have earned more Accelerated Reader points than anyone else at the school — over 150 points each! As a reward, both third graders were named the Principals for the Day at the school, sharing some duties with the regular full-time principal.
