2021 marks second deadliest year on Texas roads

PHS track hosts meet

The Perryton High School track teams hosted the Perryton Invitational last week. The meet was held earlier than scheduled in the week to beat the incoming inclement weather. Both Dumas High School teams took the titles at the meet. The Demons won with 201 points, with Perryton second at 115.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is conducting travel surveys in our region. These surveys provide information about local travel patterns. Results of the survey will assist TxDOT and their partners when making decisions about transportation projects.

Counterfeit bill reported

An attempted burglary and counterfeit money were reported during the week. An attempted break-in was reported at 10 N. Colgate. Entry was not gained, but damage was done to the front door and locks. A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Walls, 1001 S. Ash.

De Santiago, Feger tapped as March Students of Month

Perryton High School seniors Hope De Santiago and Cuyler Feger were selected as the Rotary Club’s Students of the month for March. They, along with their parents, were guests of the club at its meeting March 10.
