Filing underway for city, school, hospital positions

Candidate filing is underway in the May 4 general election. The period opened on Jan. 17 and will run through Feb. 16. The Perryton City Council, which has two vacancies due to the resignations of Shae Cunningham and Shirley Howard, will also have a special election to fill those two positions.

The Ochiltree County 4H Alamo Club met Jan. 9 in the Expo Center meeting room. Vice president Rylan Oquin led the Pledge of Allegiance and conducted the business meeting, and the 4H pledge was led by Clay Oquin. The program, “How to Make a Friendship Bracelet,” was led by Rylan Oquin.
