Commissioners accept Womble resignation

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. Among other items on the agenda, the commissioners accepted the resignation of Ochiltree County Tax Assessor/Collector Linda Womble.
Toys For Tots volunteers were hard at work last week getting toys ready for distribution. The annual tradition focuses on making sure that children in Ochiltree County are able to get toys and gifts for the holiday season. Volunteers worked Thursday evening to unload hundreds of toys and get them organized at the Ochiltree County Expo Center, with distribution happening over the weekend.

City to reinstate tornado debris charge at landfill Jan. 2

Officials with the City of Perryton and Ochiltree County Emergency Management released a new tornado recovery update. The city will continue to accept tornado debris at the landfill, at no cost, through Saturday, Dec. 30. The landfill disposal fee of $27.50 per ton will be reinstated on Jan.
