Chriscella Ester Riquia Acosta was born on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 7:08 a.m. Her parents are Noemi Acosta and Daniel Riquia, and she was delivered by Dr. Jennifer McGaughy. United Way drive exceeds goal in big way, by 47%

The Ochiltree United Way went over its goal in a big way this week, garnering $141,730 in total contributions, which is 147% of the $96,000 goal.The big jump was largely due to substantial donations to the non-profit, oil and gas and professional divisions.

City’s sales tax payment down 13.5% in January

The City of Perryton’s first sales tax payment of 2025 dropped significantly over January 2024.The city received $214,992, which is an almost 13.5% decrease from January 2024.All but one of the area cities checked also showed decreases for the month.Borger was the only city to notch an increase.
