Chronic Wasting Disease detected in Roberts County
Ochiltree County’s first baby of 2025 was born this week at Ochiltree General Hospital. Chriscella Ester Riquia Acosta was born on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 7:08 a.m. Her parents are Noemi Acosta and Daniel Riquia, and she was delivered by Dr. Jennifer McGaughy. Chriscella weighed seven pounds, seven ounces at birth. Pictured are the proud parents, Daniel Riquia and Noemi Acosta, with Chriscella in the middle.

Rylan Oquin will compete at the 4-H Family and Consumer Science National Championship and Conference this month in San Antonio.
