Commissioners review racial profiling report

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse.The main item on the commissioners’agenda was the receipt and approval of the annual racial profiling report from Sheriff Terry Bouchard.

Hospital board approves IV pump purchase

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening.Among other items on the agenda, the board spoke with OGH’s pharmacy director Gretchen Good about the purchase of Baxter IV pumps.

Candidate filing underway for May 3 election

Filing is underway for candidates for the May 3 general election.There are three positions up for election on the Perryton City Council. Those are currently held by Brad Herring, Brady Burdick and Brad Kile.All three of the incumbents have filed for another term.

Holland to be next speaker Feb. 3 for Leadership Perryton series

Jody Holland of Amarillo will continue the Leadership Perryton XXIII speaker series, coming to Perryton on Thursday, Feb. 6.He will entertain with a thought provoking and inspiring session called “Story Selling” at Frank Phillips College Allen Campus in Perryton.Registration begins at 6 p.m.
Parents, kids, and grandparents of all ages stopped by the Museum of the Plains on Sunday, Jan. 19, to enjoy an old-fashioned afternoon tea party. Party-goers picked out fancy hats to wear and enjoyed tea, punch, finger sandwiches, cookies, and plenty of good company, as well as checking out the museum’s new display of Doris Wilkens’ children’s tea set collection. Two Perryton men injured in fatal crash

Two Perryton men were injured in a car accident in Moore county that killed a driver from Stratford.Leonard Campbell, 36, and Claudio Bustillos-Diaz, 44, both of Perryton, were injured in the accident.The crash occurred on Monday, Jan. 20, on FM 281, approximately 4.5 miles west of Etter.

Snow geese and Canada geese both have been spotted taking a dip in the many playa lakes throughout the area, but mostly snow geese are pictured here behind Equity Town & Country on South Highway 83.
