The Perryton ISD Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Monday, Feb 3, at the PISD Admin Building.The board immediately went into executive session for attorney consultation and to discuss personnel matters.

The Museum of the Plains has a very old puzzle to piece together. The museum has a prehistoric turtle shell in fragments they’d like to put together into a complete shell. The shell, which is at least 10,000 years old, was originally found at the north Canadian River near River Road.

Students at Williams Intermediate were recognized in a poster contest to commemorate the 2025 Texas Conservation Awards Program with the theme “Home Is Where the Habitat Is.” The first place prize winner will advance to the Area 1 Division competition, covering the Panhandle and South Plains.
