Library announces adjusted hours Perry Memorial Library has announced new hours. The library will be open from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, and from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Record books to be sent for preservation

Ochiltree County Commissioners approved a plan Monday to preserve a trio of vital records books. Two of the books are birth-and-death records covering the early decades of the 20 th century. The third is a marriage record book that covers dates from 1889 to 1917.

County’s active COVID-19 cases fall, still above 20

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Ochil-tree County has dropped for the first time in weeks. According to the State of Texas, Ochiltree County’s official count of total COVID-19 cases has risen from 91 on Thursday afternoon to 95 as of late Tuesday afternoon.

Court works out election details

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court discussed the Nov. 3 general election plans at their regular meeting on Monday morning at the county courthouse. The chief item of business for the commissioners was the upcoming general election in November.
