County’s active COVID cases up

Ochiltree County’s COVID-19 cases have risen slightly, after several weeks of declining numbers. The county’s total coronavirus cases have gone up from 105 last Thursday to 110 on Tuesday evening, while the currently active cases rose from nine to 13.

Storms bring plenty of rain to area

Two different rainstorms poured plenty of precipitation on Ochiltree County residents. One storm on Saturday night brought a nice dose of rain to residents, and another one on Tuesday evening brought even more – but only inside and close to the city limits.

Classes are back in session at Frank Phillips College Allen Campus in Perryton. A number of classes this semester will be taught in the campus’ distance learning room, which allows students to learn from professors on FPC’s main campus in Borger.

OGH Board tables budget to comply with state regs

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday evening in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital. Among other items on the agenda, the board discussed the proposed budget and tax rate.

Tips still needed on truck burglary

Perryton-Ochiltree County Crime Stoppers still needs information to solve a vehicle burglary. On Aug. 2, it was reported to the police department that a pickup in the 1600 block of South Jefferson street was burglarized.
