County’s active COVID-19 cases are up slightly

Ochiltree County’s total COVID-19 cases may have risen slightly, but the active cases have fallen. The county’s total cases have risen from 111 to 114 since last Tuesday evening. The number of active cases have risen slightly from 10 on Tuesday to 11.

City’s September sales tax payment takes 27% hit

The City of Perryton’s sales tax revenue payment this month dropped dramatically from September 2019. The city received a payment of $197,067, down a little over 27% from last September. For the year so far, the city’s payments of around $2 million are down 14% from 2019.

Demons blank Rangers 30-0

The Rangers traveled to Dumas Friday night, but came up empty, as the Demons notched a 30-0 victory. The Ranger defense played well, but the Demon offense made big plays at key times, and their defense kept the Rangers in check throughout most of the game.
