Vehicle burglary investigated

A vehicle burglary and more missing license plates topped activity for the week. Christopher Gillespie, 2130 Colgate, reported his vehicle had been burglarized. Taken were a small green cremation urn and a pair of black prescription Oakley sunglasses. Total value was $550.

Rangers to travel to Sundown for contest with Alpine Bucks Friday

The Rangers will travel to Sundown this Friday night to play the Alpine Bucks. Game time is 6 p.m. There will be no admission charge. Oct. 9 was originally an open date for the Rangers, but after missing two games due to COVID-19 quarantine, the Alpine match up was added to the schedule.

Candidate forum is cancelled

The Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce’s candidate forum, scheduled for Oct. 19, has been cancelled. Forum moderator Dr. Randy Skaggs said the increase in COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County and issues with quarantining prompted the cancellation.

Perryton High School seniors Yancey Judice and Cuyler Waide have been selected as the Rotary Club Students of the Month for October. They were honored at the Rotary Club meeting Oct. 1. Judice is the daughter of Brent and Kelly Judice. She has two sisters, Hayley and Rio.
