United Way drive tops 42% so goal

The Ochiltree United Way’s donations for the 2021 fund drive continued to climb last week.
By last Friday, the drive had raised $38,195 in contributions, which is 42% of the $90,000 goal.
Two new 100% Companies were also added, bringing the total to six.

Perryton ISD to suspend remote learning Nov. 10

The Perryton School Board, at its meeting Tuesday evening, decided to discontinue remote learning, citing the benefits of “face to face” learning.
Superintendent James Mireles said there are many reasons to go back to the classroom.

Early voting has been steady for Nov. 3 election

Early voting in the Nov. 3 general election has been heavy so far, a little over a week into the three week period.
As of early Wednesday afternoon, 1,242 people had cast early ballots in person, with an additional 200 ballot by mail requests.
