FPC ADVISORY BOARD HOLDS MEETING

The Frank Phillips College Allen Campus advisory board met for its quarterly meeting on Thursday. The board is comprised of community members who volunteer to provide input from Perryton and Ochiltree County residents.

ACES IN THE HOLE

Work crews from the City of Perryton were hard at work late last week on sewer line repairs near the corner of Ninth Street and Grinnell. An obstruction was found in a sewer line, requiring workers to dig down 10 feet below street level to get the lines cleared and repaired again.

County’s active COVID-19 cases tick up slightly

After weeks of declines, Ochiltree County’s active COVID-19 cases have risen slightly. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 stand at 46, up from 42 cases last Tuesday afternoon.

Information needed on stolen television, Playstation 4

Perryton-Ochiltree County Crime Stoppers needs information this week to solve a couple recent burglaries. On Jan. 17, it was reported that a Samsung 75-inch flat screen television had been stolen from a residence in the 1500 block of South Indiana.

TxDOT is reminding all drivers to take extra precautions when driving around trucks. Thousands of large trucks and tractor-trailers travel busy Texas highways every day.
