December weather typical; year yields over 20 inches of moisture

The weather in December was fairly typical for the month, although with some unusually warm days, according to official weather records from KEYE Radio. The average high temperature for December was 49 degrees. The warmest high was on Dec. 8, Dec. 9 and Dec. 22, when it was a pleasant 66 degrees.

Active COVID-19 cases down

The number of active COVID-19 cases have gone down this week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 stand at 82, down from 92 on Tuesday afternoon.
