Everyone knows Ken Splawn. Some call him Coach, others call him Principal, still others know him as a voice of Perryton High School sports color commentary, and most recently people know him for being part of the morning radio show on KDXJ.

Commissioners hold short meeting

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met Monday at the courthouse for a short meeting. The commissioners approved a motion to add county officials and staff in online cybersecurity training.

WRIGHT TAKES PRIZE FOR GRAND CHAMPION STEER—The Ochiltree County Junior Livestock Show and Sale was held Jan. 22-23 at the Ochiltree County Expo Center. Victoria Wright showed the Grand Champion Steer. The animal was purchased by Broken Arrow Crop Insurance, Daylight Donuts, and Elite Oilfield.

COVID-19 cases drop again

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County have dropped again, falling over 10 cases. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 stand at 32, down from 46 cases last Thursday afternoon.
