COVID-19 case numbers take another slight dip

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County fell slightly again late last week . According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 stand at 11, down from 12 cases on Tuesday afternoon.

Perryton High School Band Boosters got together on Friday morning to prepare food for their enchilada fundraiser for band scholarships. Volunteers prepared 167 dozen enchiladas and raised $2,000 for scholarships.

Rifle and Pistol Club sets monthly meeting

The Perryton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 1, at 7 p.m. at the indoor range south of the Ochiltree County Expo Center. The club will be discussing new and ongoing projects. All are welcome — new memberships and renewals will be available.

Jennie June Club sets book sale

The Jennie June Club will hold a Book Fair at Perry Memorial Library from March 29 at noon through the end of April. Paperbacks will be sold for a quarter and hardbacks for 50 cents.

Balko Lions set auction

The Balko Lions Club will hold their 46th annual consignment auction on Saturday, April 24, at 10 a.m. just east of the Balko School. Consignments will be taken through Friday, April 23, but the deadline to get on the sale bill is Monday, April 5.
