FPC sets GED testing dates for March

Frank Phillips College Allen Campus will hold tests for the GED on March 26. The tests will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can register for the exam at https://ged.com/; the fee for the test is $35. Registration must be completed at least one day before the test is administered.

Girl Scouts set Easter egg hunt

The Perryton Service Unit of the Girl Scouts will host its fifth annual community wide Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 3, at 11 a.m. in the field behind Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus. Children ages 1-12 may bring their own basket or bucket to participate.

Crisis center store accepting all donations

The Panhandle Crisis Center’s Resale Store is again accepting all donations, including clothing.

PAC sets signups for youth soccer

The Perryton Activity Center is accepting registration for the PAC youth soccer spring league. The deadline to sign up is Friday, April 16, at 8 p.m. Fees are $35 for PAC members and $65 for non PAC members. Games will start on May 31.

PISD hosts Pre-K survey for parents

Perryton Independent School District is in the planning phase for a full-day Pre-K program. The district requests that all parents of four-year-olds (as of Sept. 1, 2021) complete a short survey. Chamber Banquet postponed

The Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce Banquet has been postponed. Preliminary plans are to hold the banquet on Oct. 7 of this year. Details of the event will be released closer to the event date in October.

Museum seeking 2020 memories

The Museum of the Plains is collecting residents memories on 2020, and what it meant to people today and moving forward so that future generations will understand how 2020 affected us locally.

FPC starts Finishers group

Crime Stoppers offers shredding service

Perryton-Ochiltree County Crime Stoppers is offering a free document shredding service. A blue bin has been placed in the lobby of the Perryton Police Department for the public to place their documents to be destroyed. A shredding service will pick up the container and dispose of the contents.

Lions seeking eyeglasses

The Perryton Lions Club is collecting used eyeglasses for recycling. Anyone who has eyeglasses that they can donate is asked to contact any Lions Club member.
