Business burglarized

A business burglary and criminal mischief were the main crimes investigated during the week. Police officers were called to Bartlett’s Lumber on an initial call of criminal mischief. The front door of the business had been shattered.

Candidates for school board discuss issues at forum

School board election is this Saturday

The May 1 general election is slated for this Saturday, May 1. Voting will be conducted at City Hall. The voting site will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. that day. The only election on the ballot is for the Perryton ISD board of trustees.

Blood drive set at FPC

Coffee Memorial Blood Center will hold a blood drive on Tuesday, May 4, from 2-6 p.m. at Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus. Photo identification and masks will be required. Donors must be at least 17 years old, but donors who are 16 may donate with a signed parental consent form.

Crisis center golf tourney set

Panhandle Crisis Center’s 24th Annual Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, May 1, at 9 a.m. Entry fees for the Two-Player Scramble are $50 per player and include green fees, range balls, mulligans, beverages during play, and lunch. Contact the Perryton Golf Club Pro Shop at 435-5381 to register.

American Legion to hold monthly meeting

The American Legion Post 254 will hold itsmonthly meeting on Monday, May 3, at the Senior Citizen Center. Supper will be served at 6 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m. All veterans are welcome to attend.
