May Day Mission set

The First United Methodist Church is once again having its May Day Mission Project on Saturday, May 1. Church members will be working in the community on that day completing needed projects around town for those who can not do it themselves.

Jennie June Club sets book sale

The Jennie June Club will hold a Book Fair at Perry Memorial Library from March 29 at noon through the end of April. Paperbacks will be sold for a quarter and hardbacks for 50 cents.

PHS Reunion canceled

After much thought and heavy discussion, the volunteers responsible for planning the PHS Ex-Students Ex-Teachers Reunion have decided it was too big a challenge to undertake this year, after being postponed last year due to COVID-19. The next reunion will be in 2025.

Crisis center store accepting donations

The Panhandle Crisis Center’s Resale Store is now accepting all donations. The store is only accepting two bags of clothing at a time and requests no one bring more than that.

OGH Pink Ladies seeking volunteers

The Ochiltree General Hospital Ladies’ Auxiliary is seeking volunteers to serve the hospital and its patients. To join or for more information, contact any of the Pink Ladies through the OGH Gift Shop.

Library storm shelter open for emergencies

The storm shelter at Perry Memorial Library is again open in case of tornados. Due to the large number of people who come to the shelter, the library is requiring that everyone 10 or older must be wearing a mask when they enter the shelter. No masks will be given — you must bring your own.

United-United Way tourney winners listed

The Ochiltree County United Way-United Supermarkets Golf Tournament was held last weekend at the city golf course. Gross and net winners were awarded cash prizes.

CrimeStoppers ‘Fast Cash’

On April 28, 2021, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Alyssas Boland, no personal information was available. Last known address was Perryton. There are five misdemeanor warrants for Boland for issuance of bad checks. Tyrell V.
