County’s COVID-19 cases rising again

Ochiltree County’s COVID-19 cases are increasing again, albeit slowly. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 have risen to 40, up from 36 on Friday afternoon.

City council denies SPS rate increase request

The Perryton City Council, at its meeting Tuesday evening, denied a rate increase request by Southwestern Public Service (the parent company of Xcel Energy) and approved a list of city projects that could be done through its recently awarded coronavirus relief grant.

LaMunyon accepted to SWOSU pharmacy school

Logan LaMunyon of Perryton, TX has been accepted into the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy at Weatherford. Forty-one students were admitted into the Doctor of Pharmacy program for the 2021 fall semester. The class has an average cumulative grade point average of 3.
