The first footprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theater (now Mann’s Chinese Theater), were made by Norma Talmadge in 1927. Legend has it that she accidentally stepped in wet concrete outside the building.

American Legion reschedules meeting The American Legion Post 254 has changed its monthly meeting to Monday, Sept. 13, at the Senior Citizen Center instead of Labor Day, Sept. 6.. A meal will be served at 6 p.m., and the meeting itself will begin at 7 p.m. All veterans are welcome to attend.

LAST DAYS OF FARMERS MARKET

The Ochiltree County Farmers Market will be open for just two more Saturdays before the season ends. The farmers market, located in the parking lot at Perryton National Bank, will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sept. 11.
