Burglaries reported

Several cases of stolen property were investigated by police during the week. Luis Gonzales reported passenger ramps had been stolen from his semi-truck while it was parked at Waterhole 83. They were valued at $3,000. Vanelly Gonzalez, 106 S. Cedar, reported a burglary at her residence.

Five States Beef and Range Conference set The Five States Beef and Range Conference will be held on Monday, Sept. 27, at the Ochiltree County Expo Center in Perryton. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the programs will start at 10 a.m.

The Ranger Roundup Learning Center has received a significant grant amount from the Texas Workforce Commission. This week, RRLC director Monica Rodriguez received a check for $74,529 from the TWC through the Child Care Development Block Grant.

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday, Sept. 13, at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. Despite a lengthy agenda for the morning’s meeting, the items to adopt a budget and property tax rate for 2021-22 attracted the most interest.
