Rangers to travel to Seminole Friday

The Rangers will make the long trip to Seminole to play the Indians in their third district contest. The game begins at 7 p.m. The other district game will be between Levelland and Estacado on Thursday in Lubbock. Borger is idle. The Indians are 3-5 on the season and 1-1 in district.

Early voting ends Friday for Nov. 2 statewide amendment election

Early voting is underway for the Special Constitutional Amendment Election, and will run through this Friday, Oct. 29. As of late morning on Wednesday, some 64 voters had cast ballots in the amendment election.

COVID cases fall in county

Active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County have fallen since last week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 have dropped to 61, down from 68 on Friday afternoon.

Commissioners approve resolutions, agreements

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. The commissioners approved an interlocal agreement and resolution between Ochiltree County and the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission regarding 9-1-1 addressing.

Perryton-Ochiltree County Crime Stoppers still needs information this week to solve the vandalism at two city parks. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of those responsible.

CHAMBER APPRECIATION—The Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce held a luncheon last Saturday at the Ochiltree County Expo Center to show appreciation for all their members, who enjoyed grilledd hamburgers from Blue Line Barbecue. There was also a bounce house set up for kids.
