Perryton-Ochiltree County Crime Stoppers needs information this week to solve a case involving damage. On Nov. 15, it was reported tot he police department that a glass window was broken out in a residence in the 100 block of North Indiana. Damage was estimated at $100.

The Panhandle Professional Women has begun its annual Project Christmas Card drive to fund numerous local scholarships. Donation boxes have been placed at several locations around town, complete with envelopes, for local residents to contribute to the fund.

COVID-19 cases fall in county

Active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County fell again, but a new fatality from the virus has been reported, bringing the county’s total to 38 deaths. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the newest fatality occurred around the date of November 9.

Ochiltree County FSA elections underway

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has started mailing ballots for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committee elections to eligible farmers and ranchers across the country. To be counted, ballots must be returned to the Ochiltree County FSA office or postmarked by Dec. 6.
