Balko Lions to hold Ground Hog Supper

The Balko Lions Club will hold its annual Ground Hog Supper on Friday, Feb. 4, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Balko school cafeteria. Free will donations may be made to benefit the Balko and Elmwood fire departments. The Balko basketball teams will play Beaver that evening.

Constitutional Public to meet

The Constitutional Public will meet Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. at Frank Phillips College Allen Campus. A representative from the Don Huffines For Governor campaign will be in attendance. Everyone is invited to attend.

American Legion to hold monthly meeting

The American Legion Post 254 will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 7, at the Senior Citizen Center. A meal will be served at 6 p.m., and the meeting itself will begin at 7 p.m. All veterans are welcome to attend.

Baseball/softball sign ups underway

The Perryton Activity Center is holding sign ups for baseball and softball. Boys and girls ages 4-15 are encouraged to play. Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, beginning April 4. The number of teams per division will determine the number of games.

PISD taking pre-K survey

ThePerryton ISD is in the planning phase for a Pre-K program for three year old children in the 2022-23 school year for Pre-K eligible students. This would be a half-day program with two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Crisis Center store sets donation times

Due to limited capacity, the Panhandle Crisis Center Resale Store will accept donations the 1st-15th of every month during regular business hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They will not accept any donations the 16th through the end of each month.

Library holding Story Time for kids

Perry Memorial Library is holding Story Time on Wednesdays from from 10-11 a.m. The program will be held every Wednesday through March. There’s no charge for the program, which is open to kids ages 2-4.
