Hospital board calls for election

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening at the Ochiltree General Hospital conference center. The board officially called an election for the board members. The election is currently scheduled for May 7.

One candidate files for school board

One new candidate has joined the race for Perryton School Board in the May 7 general election. Sarah Tregellas has filed for one of the two positions up for a regular three year term on the board. There are a total of three positions up for election on the Perryton School Board.

Commissioners receive racial profiling report

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. The commissioners received the annual racial profiling report from Ochiltree County Sheriff Terry Bouchard.

FBSW DONATES $15,000 to PISD

FirstBank Southwest made a donation of $15,081.95 to Perryton Independent School District on Monday. The bank donates a portion of each debit card transaction processed to schools, so the more transactions are made on debit cards, the more money the school gets.

OGH records over 100 positive COVID-19 cases

Ochiltree General Hospital announced on Wednesday that they had recorded well over 100 positive cases of COVID-19 in the last week. According to Chief Nursing Officer Jyme Kinnard, RN, OGH completed 272 total COVID-19 tests in the last seven days, with 133 of those tests turning out positive.
