One COVID death reported in county

One new fatality from the COVID-19 virus has been reported this week in Ochiltree County, bringing the county’s total to 47 deaths. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the newest fatality occurred around the date of Feb. 18.

Perryton High School Choir students competed in the UIL District Vocal Solo/Ensemble Contest on Saturday, Feb. 26, in Canyon. Ten students scored superior ratings in Class 1 solos – the most difficult level – and qualified for State Solo/Ensemble Contest.
