County receives more rain, snow and high winds

Perryton and Ochiltree County received another welcome dose of rain on Monday and Tuesday, along with some more snow. High winds also plagued the area, with wind speeds around 25-35 miles per hour with gusts to almost 50 mph.

Hospital board approves preliminary plans for new clinic

The Ochiltree County Hospital District’s Board of Directors met on Monday. Among other items on the agenda, the board directed Condray Design Group, an architectural and interior design firm from Lubbock, to begin work on preliminary floor plans and blueprints for a new clinic.

Local volunteers for Snack Pak 4 Kids got together on Monday evening at Williams Intermediate Elementary School to pack snacks for hungry kids. Volunteers meet every few weeks to pack snack bags with nutritious food to help food-insecure students stave off hunger.

The ride starts at the top of Texas on Highway 83, seven miles north of Perryton, and continues south to Brownsville.
