Package stolen

It was another quiet week for law enforcement, with only one report available. A residence at 1318 Eton had a package stolen from the front porch. It was valued at around $200. There is a suspect in the case.

Double Coconut

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the single-seeded fruit of the giant fan palm, or Lodoicea maldivica, can weigh 44 pounds. Commonly known as the double coconut or coco de mer, it is found wild only in the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.

OGH stats still show just one COVID case

Ochiltree General Hospital’s very low numbers of new COVID-19 cases have held steady this week. According to Chief Nursing Officer Jyme Kinnard, RN, OGH completed 38 total COVID-19 tests in the last seven days, with only a single positive case.

Salas is state powerlifting champ

The Rangerette powerlifting team returned to the state meet as the defending state champions. Perryton entered the meet with 13 lifters competing in the various weight classes. Several of the girls were seniors lifting in their last school meet.
