Rettes host Borger

The Rangerette softball team hosted the Borger Lady Bulldogs on Friday to begin the second round of distric play. The Rettes were hoping to avenge a loss from earlier in the season to the Lady Bulldogs by the score of 15-0. They also looked to pick up their first district victory on the season.

Track competes in Liberal Invitational

Both Perryton High School track teams traveled to take part in a unique meet in Liberal, Kansas last week. The Liberal Invitational hosted eight boy and girl teams. Kansas meets have some unique events and an unusual order of events.

Kinder enrollment set for April 28 Enrollment at Perryton Kinder is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, from 1-3 p.m. at the Perryton ISD administration building at 821 SW 17th Avenue. Children must be five years old by Sept. 1 to enroll. You can complete enrollment online at www.perrytonisd.org.

Perryton High School’s chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) attended their state competition April 7- 9 in Dallas. There were 3,500 competitors from across the state representing 400 FCCLA chapters.

Commissioners approve hangar sales at airport

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday, April 11, at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. Among other items on the agenda, the commissioners approved the sale of two airplane hangars at the Perryton Ochiltree County Airport.

Still no COVID-19 cases reported at OGH

Ochiltree General Hospital has again tested no new cases of COVID-19 this week. According to Chief Nursing Officer Jyme Kinnard, RN, OGH completed 31 total COVID-19 tests in the last seven days, with no positive cases. Kinnard said the last positive case at the hospital was tested on March 17.
