FARNEY NAMED OUTSTANDING GOLFER— Halley Farney was awarded the Outstanding Girls Golfer award for the second year in a row during Perryton High School’s annual All Sports Awards on May 2 at the high school.

AC circuit breaker theft investigated

More missing license plates and a case of theft were reported to police during the week. A home at 821 S. Baylor had a circuit breaker stolen from the air conditioner. It was valued at $200. Two people also reported lost or stolen licence plates.

4-H members qualify for state competition

Thirteen Ochiltree 4-H members recently competed and placed high at the Panhandle District 4-H Roundup Contests. The District 4-H Contests were held on the West Texas A&M University campus in Canyon and the Amarillo Rifle Club.

Leadership Perryton graduates 22

Graduation of the 20th class of Leadership Perryton was held May 4 at the First United Methodist Church. Twenty-two members completed the nine-month leadership development course and received a special award at their graduation lunch.
