Work crews have been hard on the job this past week with traffic signal maintenance at Main Street and 24th Avenue. In addition to the signal work, crews are also building handicapped access ramps at all corners of the intersection. Crews hope to complete the majority of the work sometime next week.

Online drought management and economics series set

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Servicespecialists and agents in the Panhandle and South Plains will be conducting an online economics series related to drought management in beef operations. The dates are June 15, July 6 and July 27.

Almost 200 participate in kids fishing tournament

After a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wolf Creek Improvement Board’s annual Children’s Fishing Tournament was held this past Saturday at Lake Fryer in Wolf Creek Park. Organizers said 190 kids participated in the tournament.
