NRCS taking easement aplications for 2023

While the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) accepts easement applications on a continuous basis, applications for the 2023 fiscal year Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) funding consideration must be submitted to NRCS by Nov. 4, 2022.

CINEMA SCENESTERS SEEK OUT “SANDLOT”—Film lovers made the scene Tuesday evening at Ellis Theater in downtown Perryton for Free Movie Night, the first event of the annual Wheatheart of the Nation Celebration. Moviegoers enjoyed a showing of the 1993 baseball classic “The Sandlot.”

State reports small decrease of COVID cases in Ochiltree County

The State of Texas’ COVID-19 numbers for Ochiltree County dropped slightly late this week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the county has had 34 new cases of the virus in the last 14 days, a decrease of 3% over the previous 14 days.
