Kids at Ranger Roundup Learning Center got a break from this week’s heat with a Water Day on Wednesday. Teachers introduced the kids in the toddler class to a new splashing pool. Some of the kids loved it, some were very cautious, some were content just to get their hands wet.

American Red Cross offers tips for managing extreme summer heat

Triple-digit temperatures are forecast throughout the week for northern Texas, according to the National Weather Service. To help keep everyone safe during this latest heatwave, the American Red Cross is urging people to use caution and follow its heat safety tips.

Several tools stolen in trailer burglary

A burglary and a theft case were investigated by police during the week. A trailer belonging to Roger Bilson, parked behind 206 S. Main was burglarized. Stolen were a DeWalt drill, Paslode finish nailer, Makita radio, a Porter Cable circular saw, and a DeWalt palm sander. Total value is $625.
