Local volunteers for Snack Pak 4 Kids got together on Monday evening at Williams Intermediate School to pack snacks for hungry kids. Volunteers meet every few weeks to pack snack bags with nutritious food to help food-insecure students stave off hunger.

County’s COVID cases fall again in latest report

Ochiltree General Hospital’s COVID-19 numbers declined again this week. According to Chief Nursing Officer Jyme Kinnard, RN, Ochiltree General Hospital completed 34 total COVID-19 tests in the last seven days, with just three positive cases, down from five cases last week.

Reception set for Chief Smith A retirement reception for Police Chief Mike Smith will be held Friday, Sept. 30, from 3-5 p.m. at City Hall. Smith has served as chief for 3 1/2 years, and has been with the Perryton Police Department for 32 years.
