Santa Claus has once again chosen the Herald as the official area drop-off point for letters to him. Children are welcome to bring their letters to the Herald office, Fourth and Amherst and place them in our special Santa mail box.

Motorcycle run to benefit Toys for Tots A motorcycle run will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 1:30 p.m. in the United Supermarket parking lot to benefit Toys for Tots. The entry fee is one new toy. The motorcycle run will end at the Expo Center with door prizes, a raffle, and refreshments.

Jesse Arvada Russell Pattison, 96, passed away on October 31, 2022. She was born to Jesse Alden Russell and Grace Willey on July 7, 1926, and raised in Perryton, Texas, where she met and married her life long love, LaVaun Pattison.

The new center includes two surgery rooms and a remodel of the post-anesthesia care unit.

Vandalism investigated

A handful of vandalism incidents were investigated by police the past two weeks. An inflatable turkey decoration at 700 S. Eton was cut. A car in the 00 block of North Drake was egged. A residence at 1400 S. Eton had a back window broken out from a kid throwing rocks.

I sure enjoyed the days off for Thanksgiving, but good goobies it was tough getting up on Monday. Crazy how quickly the lazies can take over. But now it’s time to shift into high gear because Christmas is straight ahead. Our Senior Center will certainly put you in that holiday spirit.
