A two-day retreat Sept. 16-17 marked the beginning of Leadership Perryton XXI. The nine-month program for 28 class members will teach leadership skills that can be used personally, in business, and in the community.

Coffee Memorial seeks blood donors to aid hurricane victims

Hurricane Ian’s devastating landfall in Florida has wreaked havoc on that state’s blood supply and citizens from the rest of the country are needed to step up and provide relief. The blood supply in Florida had approached critical levels even before Hurricane Ian’s arrival.

United Way to kick off 2023 campaign Oct. 1

The Ochiltree United Way will kick off its 2023 fund drive Oct. 1. The goal for this year’s fund drive is $94,300, which was allocated among nine agencies. That goal is $2,400 higher than in 2022. The 2022 drive, which had a goal of $92,000, ended up raising$109,663.

PARSPA to meet Oct. 3 The Perryton Area Retired School Personnel Association (PARSPA) will meet Monday October 3, 2022 at the Senior Citizen Center . The meeting will start at 12 noon but members are encouraged to come forlunch at 11:30 a.m. It is also time to join for the 2022-23 year.

‘Fast Cash’

On Sept. 28, 2022, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Pedro Galindo, no personal information was available. Last known address was Odessa. There is one misdemeanor warrant for Galindo for issuance of bad checks.

Fish Art Contest now accepting entries

The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) is accepting entries for the 2023 Texas division of Wildlife Forever’s Fish Art Contest through Feb. 28. The Fish Art Contest is part of an international conservation education program designed to foster youth interest in fisheries and fishing.
