Gun incident on PISD bus is investigated

An incident involving a student who brought a gun onto a school bus is being investigated by local law enforcement. According to the Perryton ISD, on Wednesday, Nov. 2, “a student brought a gun onto the bus. A fellow student saw it, and a school official was notified.

Some16 Quilts of Honor were presented by the Friendship Quilt Guild to military veterans on Oct. 20 at Community Worship Center. The quilts were presented in two groups. The first groups appeared in the Oct. 30 Herald.

Burglary, mail theft under investigation

A case of mail theft, and a burglary were among the offenses investigated by local law enforcement during the week. An incident of mail theft was reported by Paper and Cloth Memories, 218 SW Third.

RANGER BAND EARNS EXCELLENT RATINGS— The Pride of Perryton Ranger Band competed to the Region 1 UIL Evaluations. The band received unanimous Excellent ratings from all three judges after performing a challenging show. The band is directed by Tony Gonzalez, Austin Zimmerman, and Arleen Silva.

Rangers pick up big 35-26 victory

The Rangers traveled to Borger Friday, and improved their district record to 2-1, with a 35-26 victory over the Bulldogs. That win clarified the playoff picture, with Perryton, Seminole, West Plains and Levelland in, and Borger out.
