United Way drive continues to get donations

The Ochiltree United Way 2023 fund drive continued to garner donations this week. As of this week, the campaign has received $101,692 in donations, which is 107% of its $94,300 goal. The excess funds over the goal are allocated to the member agencies at a later date.

Local businesses set New Year’s closings

The end of 2022 is almost upon us, and many Perryton businesses, organizations, and governmental offices will be closed to let their employees celebrate the New Year’s holiday. Perryton Independent School District and Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus are both closed for their holiday breaks.

Tambra Kile named to investment education committee

Ochiltree County Treasurer Tambra Kile has been named to the County Investment Academy Education Committee of the Texas Association of Counties (TAC). Her one-year term begins on Jan. 1. She replaces Glasscock County Treasurer Alan Dierschke, whose term on the committee ends Dec. 31.
