Rotary Club taking flag service sign ups

The Rotary Club is soliciting renewals and sign up forits flag service for residents of Perryton. They will provide a 3 x 5 foot nylon flag with sewn stripes and embroidered stars to be placed at your home, business, or in group displays in the community. The flags will be displayed from 7 a.m.

Jail is busy

No offense reports were available this week. In county jail activity: Joaquin Valenciana, 38, was arrested on a third degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 2, less than one gram, in a drug free zone. He was released on $20,000 bond.

Last public meeting on PISD bond proposal is Thursday

The final community meeting on the Perryton ISD’s proposed bond issue is set for this Thursday, April 27, in the Perryton High School auditorium. The first presentation will be in Spanish at 6 p.m., followed by an English presentation at 7 p.m.

Art show spotlights student talent

The show, featuring art created this year by PHS art students, will run from May 1-10 during school hours in the El Rancho at the high school. Visitors can also see the displayed art after school hours on May 1, during the Athletic Awards Ceremony, and on May 8, during the Academic Awards Ceremony.
