Rainstorms finally bring plenty of rainfall to county

Two different storm systems brought welcome rainfall to a thirsty Ochiltree County last week, with the first bringing rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the second on Friday. KEYE Radio’s official rainfall total for the period was 1.22 inches of precipitation.

Athletes recognized at All Sports Awards Banquet

Athletes in all sports were honored at the Perryton High School All Sports Awards Banquet on Monday evening. The event was hosted by the Perryton Lions Club in the Rangerette Center at PHS. The emcee for the evening was athletic director and head football coach Kurt Haberthur.

Saturday’s elections to decide races and bond proposals

Local voters will decide the fate of two Perryton Independent School District bond propositions, as well as positions on the Perryton School Board and Perryton City Council in this Saturday’s May 6 election. Early voting in the PISD was heavy, with 600 people casting early ballots.
