The Perryton Rotary Club has named Perryton High School seniors Jessica Flaming and Efrain Rosales as the May Rotary Students of the Month. Flaming is the daughter of Jaymie and Braden Flaming. She has two siblings, Jayden and Bradie.

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening, May 15, in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital. Among other items on the agenda, the board members approved purchases for The Seasons assisted living center.

School board hires several new people

The Perryton School Board hired several more people during two recent special meetings. On May 10, the board approved hiring Francisca Zavala as the assistant principal at Perryton High School on a two-year administrator contract.

PHS seniors receive scholarships

Local scholarships were awarded to Perryton High School seniors at the annual awards assembly on Wednesday morning, with the presentation of over 40 scholarships from local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Several honors were also announced.
