What a special night we all had on Tuesday evening. Weren’t the videos that Valarie Davis put together so special? She had a fun one highlighting all of the 2023 activities and fun times we have shared together. Wow, we were busy bees.

Night quilt guild meets

The Friendship Quilt Guild night group met Oct. 10 at Community Worship Center. The quilt guild challenge for the year was a wall hanging or other home decor for a holiday other than Christmas. Winners for wall hanging were Connie Rabe, first; Sheril Kelley, second and Tina Bussard, third.
Third grade students at Wright Elementary School enjoyed field trips to Perry Memorial Library last Thursday afternoon. Librarians and teachers showed kids the different sections of the library, the services offered, and gave them a scavenger hunt to let them explore the library and the books within.

Members of the Ochiltree County Senior Citizens Center celebrated the organization’s 40th anniversary on Tuesday evening. In addition to a prime rib meal, members also voted on their new board and officers. Elks Lodge to host benefit calf fry supper The Perryton Elks Lodge at 9th Street and Main will host a benefit calf fry supper on Saturday, Oct. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. for local victims of the tornado. The menu will include calf fries, wild okra, French fries, and beans.
